Easy, cost-effective, filter based analysis
User-Friendly and Portable Measurement Technology
The InfraCal Filtrometers are filter based infrared analysers that deliver the precision and accuracy necessary for quantitative mid-IR measurements. The InfraCal Filtometer provides cost-effective, portable measurement technology wherever it is required, in the field, or in the lab. Its user-friendly interface allows the operator to efficiently run samples and receive the results in under one minute.
Customize Your InfraCal
The basic InfraCal Filtometer utilizes fixed band pass filter/pyroelectric detectors having one or two measurement
wavelengths specified prior to purchase. Our applications personnel can help ensure the proper selection of
wavelengths for your application along with the appropriate sample handling stage, including ATR sample plates,
transmission cells, card holder and specular reflectance.
Typical Applications
The InfraCal Filtometer can be customized for in-house process monitoring in addition to the following applications:
-
Total Oil & Grease (TOG) & Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon (TPH) Levels in Water & Soil
Ethanol in Gasoline and Water in Ethanol
Measuring Soot in Diesel Engine Oil
Fats, Oils and Grease (FOG) in Wastewater
Measuring Antioxidant Inhibitor in Transformer Oil
Measuring Nylon, EVA or EVOH in a Multilayer Film
Determining Unsulfonated Matter (UM) in Surfactant
Checking Cleaning Efficiency of Metal Parts
D2O in H2O and H2O in D2O
Resin Coatings on Metal Substrates
Soot in Diesel Engine Oil
A Powerful Quantitative Analytical Tool
-
Fast – results in less then 30 seconds
Up to six times more affordable than alternative instrumentation
Portable –6.5 x 6.5 x 5 inches (165 x 165 x 127mm) in size,
can be battery operated
Lightweight –less than 5 lbs
Easy to use –no knowledge of infrared techniques needed
Direct readout in desired units–microprocessor develops and
stores calibration data
No moving parts
Less sensitivity to ambient changes -the two-element pyroelectric detectors with narrow band pass filters for analytical and reference wavelengths are less sensitive to temperature or moisture changes, have improved optical and signal-to-noise performance over single element detectors and do not require cooling
USB or RS-232 connections
